Welcome to my new and improved scrapbook. |

My first coverage in our hometown paper The Newnan Times Herald: seven years old and rehearsing my very first solo with Anita Snell, for a Rotary Club Christmas program. |
 |
Just a few short years later, the Times Herald continues their coverage of local culture. After this front page came out, everyone congratulated me on my upcoming gig at the Sewer Meeting. Nothing beats a small town paper. They’ve been incredibly supportive. Not just of me of course—I’m proud to share my hometown with such musical luminaries as Charles Wadsworth and country superstar Alan Jackson. |
 |
At Spoleto USA with Charles Wadsworth. Every musician ought to have a mentor, and I couldn’t have a better one than Charles. Not only was he Beverly Sills’ accompanist for twenty years and Founding Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, but he’s the funniest person you could ever hope to meet and a great friend. He helps me take it all, the good and the bad, in stride and with humor. |
 |
Charles in his element in a fun promo pic by Christian Steiner, before a concert in Newnan shamelessly entitled “Charles’ Angels.“ There were two sessions: Charles and Kristina Cooper, spliced into a photo taken later of Chee-Yun and me. I still can’t figure out how I got my foot to turn out like that… |

Another beloved mentor, composer and pianist David del Tredici, after our first recital of his songs at Bargemusic, in spring of 2011 |

A nice old shot from my apprentice days at Central City Opera, singing Chloe in “The Queen of Spades.” Behind me sits the great baritone Dominic Cossa. (Photo by Mark Kiryluk) |

2002 Mikado with Colorado Symphony, camping it up with Gene Scheer as Ko-Ko and Chad Frisque as Nanki-Poo. Gene has since made quite a name for himself as a songwriter and librettist. I’m grateful for his donation of the wonderful lullaby “Count to 12” for my CD. (Photo by Mark Kiryluk) |
